TRI-GLIDE vs SMART CAR

I parked next to one a few weeks ago. I told the owner that Smart Car would make a good spare for my pickup. he laughed and agreed. it was wife's car - she bought it.

My wife wanted me to get a Smart car....No way could i operate it... I have a smart phone for two years now and i still can't figure that out......:gah:

The specs on the Smart Car are similar to the Tri.

89 HP

100 lb-ft

35 mpg combined.

0-60 10.1 sec. We won that one:wave4:

$18000 Half price of Tri

$18000 Half price of Tri

It may be half the price of a Tri, but it's probably only 1/10 the fun at best.

Yeah, I'm reviving a zombie. You'd be surprised at how much fun smart cars are, think high-speed go kart! I drove one of those little boogers for five years, lot of fun. And you can park ass end to the curb in a parallel parking spot and still be legal... I used to park my FreeWheeler ass end to the curb, and a guy I work with who drives a smart car parked ass end in next to me in the same spot. Guaranteed us both a good parking spot as long as we ate lunch at different times!

That pic reminds me of my son's '85 Mini Cooper. It is about the same foot print as the Smart Car. I think the engine is like 1100cc, so I got him beat there too!! :D

Yeah, sure. "The wife's car". Is that the best he could come up with?:qpnmt: At least say you are a clown in the circus and this is your carpool to work car.

Anybody known someone that's had to replace the batteries in one of those yet? Wonder if they'll feel like they were such a smart buy then?
