Tread wear/minimum psi

I laid a ruler across the tread of the rear tires on my 08 CSC trike and noticed that the ruler did not make contact with the outer treads. It sat on the center tread. Is that from running too much psi? I have been using 23 psi. What would be the minimum psi to run?

I wouldn't go below 22 lbs 22 to 30 seems to be what most run

23 is ok remember that the tire will flex as you add weight to the trike. Like getting you and possible the rider on. Then the tire should be closer to the whole width contacting the surface.
