Cheri: Hope you guys are alright up there. When I heard about the tornado, I thought of you cause I believe your right in that area. Anyways my prayers are with all of the folks in Ma.......Tis

HELLO Were good we got a lot of rain & some wind nothing bad . I thought it was bad out your way ??? We took a ride to Monson last night, IT IS UNBELIEVEABLE there hundreds of houses destroyed, theres miles of telphone poles & wires missing, cars trucks campers flipped over ,roads that Are totally covered in debree. Were only 8 miles from there, They say it goes from westfield to south bridge about a 3/4 of a mile wide, I heard theres 4 people dead, If you ride around & look at the devastation you would think it would be a lot more. HOPE ALLS GOOD WITH YOU?? THANKS

Thanks guys! Yes, it's bad - missed my house by about 3 or 4 miles, thank heavens! I was in Sturbridge when the second one hit, and fortunately it missed the restaurant I was in (they moved us to a back corner in the kitchen just in case, but it didn't come too close).

Rt 19 is still shut down, as well as most of Rt 20. Right now I have to go back roads pretty much to Union, CT and take Rt 84 back to the Pike to get to work.....the areas on both sides of Rt 84 for about a mile is just terrible!! Looks like - well, guess it looks like a tornado hit! :Shrug: Tree tops sheared off, highway signs toppled over, the roof of the motel there is just shattered...

I feel awful for those in Springfield and Monson, but knowing how much worse it could have been, I'm also very grateful!!

The storms totally missed us. When they hit Worcester area they broke in half.
Less intense storm went North of us thru Southern NH and the other which was
way more powerful went Southeast of Worcester.
