Got another 100 or so miles in today on the 2015 FW .
We like it but I really hate the clutch and the shifting . My 5 speed on the 06 glide was a lot smoother and quieter.
This thing is noisy . Its going to take some time for me to get used to it but I am sure I will. Got the cornering pretty much figured out and the wife likes the ride although that could be a bit better also. I do need to get the wife to set still !

Gas mileage seems low compared to my 2 wheeler but there is another wheel and tire and a differential etc.
I have been playing with windshield heights . The short one that came with the bat wing just done cut it although they look cool. I had a couple stock height Harley ones and I just started cutting one down to see what happens. I am at 10.5 inches right now and I could have maybe left it a 12.5 . Time will tell on that .Got the new chrome bumper Tuesday and installed it . I bought the cobra one since I found one for 238.95 with free shipping. It finishes the rear off nicely.

I do have on order another set of lowers with glove boxes as I dont need the speaker holes . I will sell the ones for speakers down the road after I get the new ones. Its like 85 out and I got some sun :)

Bugs are removed from the bike and time for a toddy :)

I don't want to start another oil thread BUT on our '15 I used Red Line with Shockproof in the tranny and Red Line Primary case oil, smooth as butter finding neutral and shifts.

I sure dont see that here. I switched to 75/140 mobile 1 in the trans and I also switched to schaffers vtwin primary oil and it made no difference. Guess you got a Tuesday to Thursday build and I got the Monday or Friday ?

I think the condition of the compensator ramp has more to do with primary function and shifting than any trendy named lubricant.
That could be but this thing only has 10k on the clock so I dont think its hurt . I am done changing fluid types. Just going to ride the thing and see what happens.

I did decide to re bleed the hydraulic clutch today. That did nothing but its done again .

@N8DC Hey Dave,
I just saw your post.
I have a 2014 Tri glide and I had the same issue.
I will say my 2 additions are amazing!
1). Müller hydro clutch kit
2). Sortbrakes modified levers (the ones I got are designed to be used with the Müller kit, too).

I have very little creep before engaging starts and the “effort” to pull is very easy now. I absolutely love this set up now!

Here’s a video I made on this!

I am more concerned with the noisy shifting . I dont think I have any drag but I will check that further and I am not really having an issue with the engagement or the point it does engage. This thing is just noisy and I think it could be better .

There's a thread back in '21 that I started about noisy shifting on my new, at the time, Freewheeler. I was told it's a "feature" and if I try to fix it I will void my warranty. :) Oddly my '59 Panhead and '78 Shovel were exactly the same.
