Tire balancing

I've been using Dynabeads for several years in my bikes. I put them in my wife's 2010 Street Glide Trike right after she bought it. I haven't put them in her 2012 Triglide yet. They work! I buy them from jakewilson.com

Not sure what the cons are. I do know they work and work well for me. I had a tire on my 08 Ultra Classic I couldn't get balanced correctly. I could feel vibration in the handle bars. I pulled the weight's off and put 2 oz's of Dynabeads in and all the vibration went away. I've got them in the tire's on my 2010 RK and it has wire wheels with tubes. Even though Dynamic Balancing said they were good for tubed tires, somebody on another forum said never use Dynabeads in a tubed tire. Well I ran them for 17K miles in the tires on my RK. When I replaced the rear tire, I put a new tube in like HD said do. I cut the old tube open to see if it did wear the inside. All it had was a shiney area about an inch wide around the center. I used a micrometer to measure and found no wear. Only a few small bit's of rubber mixed in with the dynabeads. I'm not sure but I think they got their fame from Trucker's using them.

used them in semi trucks for years, have not balanced a tire on a bike or trike in years, the only thing i use. I use them in all my cars and all my kids use them. Great product.

I have the beads in the rear tires of my trike BUT in the front tire i use rideon as it balances as well as protects agains punctures. I figure i can plud a car type tire that my trike has on the rear but dont want to chance a flat on the front... Both work real well and not even a bit of feeling of unbalanced...

I would use them but I perferr to use RIDE-ON sealant and tire balancer. It works also. I found out about RIDE-ON here. curley

with all the feedback on this topic has anyone noticed a increase in there mileage and longer tire wear on there trike as some of the manufactures claim?

hmmm, no idea never have run without the beads in like 7 plus years, so cant compare.
makes sense though, as tires are never out of balance, even as they wear, weights you cant say that, unless you are balancing all the time, instead of riding lol
