Specifically from DK,is it critical that a measurement be taken for clearance? Or is there a basic length that works for the 2016 Tri Glide's.

2" for me

I did the 2" to make sure my 2+2 wide sweepers would clear worked out really well. Lift pushes air down on motor not up over on the chest and face. More air on motor cooler, cooler motor runs longer more comfortable for rider and passenger I like my choice. good luck on you height choice. :good:ride safely Fred

What it boils down to....is ..is it worth it? The money, the time and functionality.

I installed the 2" front and 1/2" rear lift from DK Custom on my Freewheeler. It is well worth the time and money. Only took me 30 minutes start to finish to do the install and it is simple to do with only basic hand tools required. Anyone can do the install. It helped with wind buffeting and also makes it much easier to clean the top of the motor as well as letting more air cool the engine.

On a 2016 TG you will not need to measure for a 1.5" Tank Lift and Deluxe option, as long as you have stock bars and stuff hanging off the bars. When you think about a 2" or higher, it is a good thing to measure for clearance, just to make sure your stock bars are not pulled back so far that they would interfere with the raised tank.

On you 2016 infotainment screen is NOT blocked at all with a 1.5" or 2" Lift.

Benefits are many-

Better cooling of the engine, less buffeting for you and the passenger, more of the chrome you paid for is visible, and easier to clean the top of the engine.

Well it looks like I will be ordering this from DK. Might have to wait for another free t-shirt sale.:D

I was thinking of the 1.5 lift with the deluxe, I have 12.5 wild ones bars, I would think they wouldn't be any different than the 2+2 sweepers that some have, guess I will have to turn the front end in both directions to take a look at where the bars are to the tank.

All for now Trampas

Fred. When you did your bars did you have to change the any cables. I just got the 2017 tri glide and want to put the 2+2 sweepers just not sure about the cable and all.

Old Shiney is an 09' I changed clutch cable I believe you would need to extend or change out the clutch hose. All other stuff was long enough I had to relocate two connectors for bar wiring, no big deal there. Other than that it wasn't hard to do just took me longer than a trained tech would have. I have the shop manual and supplement for 09'. Some people are getting longer wiring to make it easier. good luck. I think Bronx Bill put 2+2 Wide Sweepers on his 17 he may chime in with details for you. Fred

I installed the 2+2 Wide Sweepers on my 2016. All I used was the Harley switch wire extensions. It can be done without them, but they make the job easier. There is plenty of excess hoses and cables under the fairing, you just have to cut a few wire ties. There is a youtube video that shows the process if you want to do a google search, it is for a street glide but the process is the same

Did the 2+2 wide sweepers on my 12. Other than removing the DBW conectors, to snake into the bars, It was just taking time to remount all the controls back. Being I've got a cable clutch, it rerouted it outside of the fairing, as it was too tight for my liking. As for hydro clutch, I'm sure a longer Hose to the resivor is available if needed. There was plenty of excess wiring, just had to be rerouted or rearanged under the fairing. Just time consuming.

Just a note; after the bars are installed, turn them lock to lock , to make sure they don't hit the fuel tank before securing ! Mine just clear for my liking. Good luck.👍
