Decided after I installed my HDTR Roadsmith kit on my 2020 Ultra Limited last summer that I wanted the Aux gas tank to increase my range as we ride with some friends who are still on 2 wheels.
So I ordered the Aux tank kit and just got it this afternoon. It's a very well made kit! I'll be studying the instructions that came with it this evening and will probably get started installing it in the next couple of days.
Now for my question....
For those of you that have the Aux fuel tank, where did you mount the switch and 2 LED telltale lights? Can you post a picture of yours? The instructions only show the wiring diagram for it and just says to mount the switch.
So I have a couple of thoughts on how to do it unless you have a slick way yours is mounted....
There is a switch panel on both sides of the ignition switch with 3 spots for a total of 6 switches. 1 of them is currently being used for the front Aux lights and the other 5 have a blank out in them.
Was thinking about ordering a Harley OEM Aux switch and mounting it on the left side, then drilling a hole in 2 of the blank outs on the right side to mount the LED telltale lights.
Or the other thought was to drill a hole in the left side cover panel under the seat and put the switch in it with a quick disconnect coupler. Then mount the 2 LED telltale's in the same switch panel blank outs as above.
