Fitted my Rake Kit a few days ago and while trying it out locally noticed the Self Cancellation Sensor is no longer working?

Double checked it is still connected to the top wiring and can't find anything obvious anywhere. Indicators work fine, just needs me to cancel them manually. The only difference is I decided to leave the Air Deflector off otherwise everything is as was. Although the Deflector slots into the sensor bracket for support I can't see it does anything other than that.

Does the sensor have it's own fuse?
I don't remember any other wires going to the sensor bracket or does it?

Tried everything I can, now open to suggestions please.

@Marc H post would have been my guess as well. The air deflector really isn't needed but you may get a small increase in a breeze coming up the fork tunnel.

Although my experience with this is on a raked 1800, I would bet it might be the same for a raked 1500 as well. Mine would sometimes not cancel as well when making turns. It seems like with mine, the bars needed to be turned a certain amount. If when turning, I didn't quite need to turn that much, the signals wouldn't cancel. However they also will only stay on a certain amount of distance before they cancel on their own anyway. I know the 1800's are like that and thought the 1500's were the same. Have you tried just leaving them alone and letting them self cancel?

Not tried leaving them to be honest, so used to cancelling manually over many years I just do it especially if any traffic following me at the time. Quite happy to manual cancel as it's second nature but I think 'if it's there it should be working'

Just a suggestion
Is it possible that the rake angle has altered the position of the sensor enough to interfere with its operation?
Maybe you need to get it set up at original angle it was on the original trees

Nope..if changing the angle was a problem then no GL1500 or GL1800 rake kits would work with the self canceling feature, but they do.. The cancellation action is via mechanical input of the sweeper mechanism initiating an electrical connection through the sensor wire. The most common cause of an issue after changing the rake (at least on the GL1800s) has been that the tiny green plastic catch tab on the end of the turn signal wire connector cracks and the connector will not stay fully seated to maintain a connection to the female end of the signal wire connector, causing an open connection. As these age, the plastic tab can get brittle and are easily broken. You can buy either buy a new replacement wire or put a touch of glue to the plastic snap connector plug, then reseat it. (Note to OP: The connectors may be different on the GL1500s..I haven't done a GL1500 rake install in many years)
