My first ever Goldwing, what a suprise that the foot operated master cylinder operated front & rear brakes. Imagine my reaction when I discovered that the trike builders split into that system to now operate both rear calipers also so a system designed for 2 calipers now has to cope with 3!! Options seems to be split front & rear to their dedicated system, foot to rear and lever to front which could involve Residual Pressure Valves and/or upgrading the front master cylinder from 12mm bore to 14mm. Not decided which option to choose as yet but have replaced badly worn Front discs with Stainless Steel types and Carbon Ceramic Pads. Trike already has braided pipes.
If anyone has done, or already has, either of these options I would appreciate your input.

Ive used the residual pressure valves, Champion Tikes used to supply them with their conversions and they were effective.

That sounds good, do you use them on each brake pipe to caliper? The rear brakes will have their individual pipes from master cylinder but front brakes will be supplied from single pipe from master cylinder split with 'Y' junction.

Goldwing split the system as standard
