Everyone weather the storm? We got slammed pretty good last night. Ended up with a large branch hitting the house and doing some cosmetic damage. Heard of some major flooding in some areas.

We had a short period of extremely intense, blinding rain with some small hail mixed in. The power went out briefly, but no damage to anything at our place, and the whole thing was over in about 20 minutes. I think the most concern was that all traffic lights, etc. were also out and it was right about the time many people were starting home from work, so driving was a bit hairy in some intersections!

One of the few times we took the brunt of the storm. Was really nasty around 5pm, when everyone was heading home. Wasn't constant, but did change visibility every 5 or 10 mins. Could only see like 2-3ft in front of you during the worst spots. It turned really nasty later that night, around 9-10pm. Power surges, blinding and sideways rain, and wind that was bending our trees back a good bit. Was a little worried that the dead tree next to our house would lose a huge branch by the way it was flexing. It was the tree that gave us the damage with a smaller branch. First time I've actually seen our road fairly clear though after a storm. Usually there is a huge branch or two in the middle of the road.
