It’s a scary thing to leave your home behind , wondering what you will return to. I hope ya at least boarded up the windows, emptied the fridge/freezer and pulled the power plug and shut the water off.

Hurricane Florence is NOT going to play nice. Its not smart to try to face the storm when authorities are telling you to evacuate for your own safety. Take what's important and head to higher ground or further inland.

You have been warned by the weather service and I'm going to suggest:

My house built in 87 is in an older section of Mandarin ( Jacksonville Fl)

We are on an older electric grid 84 homes in my neighborhood

We lose power at the drop of a hat

Last year we were down for 7 days, I expect sometime Friday night we will lose power
