My buddy has a 2017 Freewheeler and was complaining about it steering funny, now i rode it and it seemed fine.So we just got back from a 400 mile ride,so i asked him how does it steer. His response was fine now that i adjusted the dampener,so my natural response is WHAT didnt know it was adjustable. He claims that there is a push button on the end that will change the steering pressure. Now before i tell him he is full of it,is he telling the truth or is he really full of it.

No he really claims it helped,he claims someone told him to do it.Now me personally i think hes is full it.

I have had 3 Tri-Glides all of them have a recess ball bearing /button on the damper Is it adjustable your guess is as good as mine I surely wouldn’t want to mess with it! 😱

Steve, this is NO button to push on the stock steering damper

Jack think of the damper as an under over rifle [Two barrels] Looking at the end of the damper there is a long rod with a cap coming out of the larger barrel with a brass collar ....

Now if you look at the small barrel there is a recessed ball bearing that might be construed as a button...And it is not a button...It looks like a Jerk but without a nipple..

Again it's not to be monkeyed with.

Exactly, NOW one could probably drain the oil and put a heavier oil in for dampening, but I aint going to be the beta tester:p
