I'm getting very close to pulling the trigger on a Stallion. I don't see very many posts on this form about them for information and help, if it's needed. Is there another place that Stallion owners hang out? Thx

Actually, there is quite a bank of helpful information here. If you look through the posts, you will find that many have given answers to just about any system/component on the
Stallion. If you don't see it or can't find it, just post your question and somebody will chime in with an answer.

Welcome to being a potential Stallion Owner. Most of us love our Stallions. there have been a few that have not, but the overwhelming majority love them. If you look under Forums there is a Stallion Forum. It has 549 threads with 6,550 posts. You found the right place where we hang out. Ask away some of us have had a Stallion almost from the beginning. First deliveries were in November of 2007. We got our first one in March of 08. A couple of us are on the second one.

Where do you find the production number? I've looked at the serial number, but the last three numbers don't seem to make sense when they were built. I've seen numbers in the mid two hundreds for 2008 models.

That would be about right for an '08. The last '10 model was 780 which was the last of the first run. For the 13's they ran another 150 units which are in sequence with the first run. End of the Stallions for now. To answer your original question, the last 3 digits of the VIN is the production number. It is located on a plate on the right side forward of the motor.

I understand they had some problems with the early production units. What would be a good number to start looking at? Does fiberglass or ABS make a difference? Thx

Stallion fixed most all the issues as they popped up. So any one should be a good buy. I like the fiberglass bodies better but the plastic bodies are good also. They then to have a better fit then the hand laid fiberglass. I like the glass because to me it rides a little heavier because of the weight. Really there is little difference. The plastic body has a better hood hinge system. The headlights were changed in 2009. Everything else were small changes. The first production number was around 150. The previous ones were demos that in later years were rebuild to normal production. The demos some did not even have an opening hood. Some where in the mid 400s they went to the plastic body.
