Speedometer/odometer

I noticed yesterday that I can't reset my trip odometer and can only get one of the trip odometers to show up. I have to fiddle with it (switch) to get the odometer/trip odometer to show. Any ideas? My fuel gauge has not been working so I was using the odometer to keep track of when I need gas. Will have to get the fuel gauge fixed. They (HD) want $200 for the fuel gauge sending unit plus labor. Oh well stuff happens!

sounds like maybe the reset button is not working all the time. see if replacing it doesn't help. its not hard to replace the sending unit just follow the manual.

I have to push and hold for a couple of seconds. Sometimes the rubber boot hangs up and I can't hear the distinct 'click'
