Spare bulbs and headllamp

I got to thinking this PM about spare bulbs and headlights.

Today I had to replace one of the front turn signal bulbs so when I bought a new one I also bought a spare. When I replaced the stock Shadow headlamp with a H.I.D. I retained the old bulb as a spare.

Bulbs and lamps are like fuses - you never know when you need 'em until you don't have one. And that's usually in the middle of nowhere. Better to have 'em rattling around in the trunk of the trike instead of running the risk of running the roads at night in the dark.

Having a spare is the best insurance. It's a proven fact that you won't need it unless you don't have it.

Duh! All the comments above apply to all of us either singularly or together.

Stay between the ditches, miss the deer, and avoid as many wet spots as possible!

That ride home might be a little tuff if the bulb pops say, half way between Las Vegas, NV, and St. George UT. at around 10 at night.

My headlight is independent of the 2 driving lights. Just like the wheels, live free on three. Spare fuses only. 2 spare tires on a continental kit?????.................NAAAAA.
