Something Different Is Coming To Our Garage

I blame my wife. She convinced me to trade my Heritage and Sportster for a 2017 Freewheeler in Black Quartz. 2,100 miles, one prior owner. Luggage rack, windshield and windshield tool bag. Now her Freewheeler will have a mate. Too bad winter is approaching. We already had some snow mixed with rain today. Oh well, the off season will be time to customize it.

The stock Freewheeler seat suck

Any touring seat will fit the Freewheelers

I have run a Roadking seat on a 15, 17 and now my 21 Freewheeler

I pulled a few accessories off my other bikes to put on the trike and have a Grasshopper backrest and Custom Dynamics luggage rack brake light on order.

CD makes good lighting. I've used their LED lights for years. Long before the motor company did. I can remember having to use a solid state p-n-p load equalizer from Kuryakyn to keep the turn signals from hyper flashing. Never could figure out what took HD so long to bring decent LED products to market. IMHO, their seats still are not as good as Mustang or Corbin.

I put the CD light bar on my wife's earlier this year. We will upgrade our seats sometime down the road. Her Freewheeler already has a Grasshopper backrest and more. Kim likes the bling. Mine will be more subdued.

My new ride was delivered around 10:30 this morning. I got right to work making it mine. I checked the oil, pumped up the shocks to 17 psi, hung my gremlin bell, put on front axle nut covers, changed the mirrors and grips, H-D MoCo chrome timer cover, a new shift peg, and an H4 LED for the headlight. I was going to install the CD luggage rack brake light until I found out it wasn't the right luggage rack. Oh well.

Took it out for its maiden voyage so we could get acquainted. I'm going to like it. Cranked it up to 90 mph on the highway - pretty smooth. Put on 32 miles in 43 degree weather. It is supposed to warm up a little this weekend into next so my wife and I will go for a ride together.

I rather like my factory Freewheeler seat. 4500 miles with no issues at all. Think it looks good as well, but I'm a boring guy.
