Does anyone know if I put slip-on mufflers on my 2013 TG and not change the air filter. Will the trike be OK without a down load or a tuner. Kind of new to this and any info would help. I have heard if you do this the O2's will compensate for the new mufflers? I just want it to sound good and run good. I am not an extremist to the n"th degree. Thanks for your help:Shrug:

Technically it will be fine, BUT, most people will agree the trike needs some sort of fuel management even if stock and get rid of the CAT to help with the heat. :wave4:

I'm sorry if I sound stupid. But the Harley trikes have a catalytic converter on them? I thought they were only on the California models? But if I have one, it needs to go. What is the process for this please?

Yep, you have a catalytic converter! Changing the slip-ons only, you should be ok. If you want to change to the K&N filter, let me know (for sale)...then have your dealer install the SE tuner $450....well worth the money. My cat coming out this weekend...think PIGGI has photos of removing. $88 to remap my tuner on Tuesday!

No, I don't have pics but if you do a search there are some out there. The CAT is right under the passenger floorboard behind the large chrome cover. it requires removing the pipe from the bike, cut a door in the cat, remove the guts and weld the door back on. If you need to pay someone it cost about $100. You can also find some on ebay already gutted.

Made copy of the cat removal step-by-step....my mistake Piggi, thought it was you. Couldn't find the thread on search engine :p

When you think tuner think about that master Tuner TTS. There are plenty of threads about tuners but the TTS is user friendly and has a lot of preloaded MAPS you can download.
I have a 09 Deluxe with a built engine and a new Tri Glide using a TTS on both and it does not matter if you have just an exhaust upgrade or a total 100++ club build. The TTS handles any build stage.
Read up before you make a choice. Some riders love their Power Vision, others the SE but for my 2 cents it is TTS. Side note here is that I enjoy hooking up the computer and doing my own V tunes for the Tri Glide. I had a Dyno done with the TTS by the Yuill brothers in Reno for the Deluxe. 105HP/115TQ they did a great job...........

Whatever your choice is Ride Safe,

I have the Power Vision on my 2013 V-Rod and my 2013 TriGlide. On the TriGlide I also went with the Auto Tune module and really like both versions. Very user friendly and you can run and load an Auto Tune right on the Hwy if you want. No need for a computer at all unless you want to tweak the tune with the Win PV software. pepper

We have a 2013 TriGlide which I put the Screaming Eagle Fat Shotz on but I also have a full Stage one set up on order. The Screaming Eagle pipes are wide open so you would think they would get loud when you put them on however due to the Cat. in the head pipe they are VERY tame. Can't wait to get rid of the stock head pipe and complete the stage one, it is nice now but will be much better soon!
