Picked up some new Rinehart DBX40’s this past weekend at the local Harley shop and when I was checking out I asked the parts guy about new muffler clamps and he said I didn’t need them, I said I’ve heard you should change them every time you replaced mufflers, the parts manager came over and also said I didn’t need to replace, what are your thoughts?

Most service manuals say to replace them but who does unless they won't tighten down. But I never throw those used clamps away. I make stuff out of them. I made a wrench to tighten down Weaver scope clamps on my old Remington BDL 742 rifle. That rifle has been everywhere, even Alaska and Africa.
