First of all, let me say this...I actually ended up comin' into the TRIKE WORLD waaaay sooner than I expected. Always figured I would own one eventually (owned a 1948 H-D Servi-Car years ago...very dismal experience, and built two VW Trikes from scratch in the late 70s/early 80s...last one was great), but figured ownership would be several more years down the line.

I've ridden Motorcycles "religiously" since 1970 racking up 100s of 1000s of miles on most every type out there. We purchased the 2010 Gold Wing Trike after our Honda Dealer became a Motor Trike Dealer/Installer. The original reason for it's purchase was for something super comfy for very long 2-up Trips. I never dreamed how versatile, and fun the Trike would become. It has now replaced all of my Motorcycles, having gotten rid of them one by one since it's purchase. It does everything they ever did, and much, much more...!!!

I started riding Scooters about 10 years ago, and really have a lota' fun on them. I also host and attend some Scooter Rides/Rallies still also, and have some close Friends that are "Scooterists Only" that I ride with. Thus the recent PCX125 Scooter purchase. Scooters are a totally different world than motorcycles, and make great commuters also.

Now, back on topic.

I tend to prefer Honda Products in about the last 10 or so years over others, although in that time I've still owned a few Harley, Triumph, Kawasaki Products also. Having owned 1800 Gold Wings in the past, and racked up countless, trouble free, very comfy miles on em', the Wing Trike was an easy choice.

Next step was find a Great Trike Forum to support my newly acquired habit...obviously I totally lucked out there also. We went to the TRIKE TALK RALLY IN THE VALLEY III this year in Maggie Valley, NC, and had a super great time. We met some of the most fun Folks to hang out with that You can imagine. Nana, Bazooka, and Everyone else associated with the planning and execution of it did fantastic jobs. really lookin' forward to RALLY IV next year !!!

Personally, the only downside to Gold Wing Trike ownership, in my opinion, is they tend to all look very similar, because You deal with basically the same body work on all of them. Not quite as easy to personalize as others. Still no desire to trade mine though, and personally, I still find IRS rears the best handling overall after riding many, many Trikes this year of various Brands, Makes, and Configurations....just a "Personal Choice".

I find some of the "One-Off" VW and Harley Trikes on this Forum some of the very best looking overall of the crop. The "Old School" Chopper/Bobber lookin' Trikes really get my juices flowing. I hope all of You working in this arena keep rollin' out Your Wares....GREAT STUFF...!!!

Another two things that no way I would be without on my Trike are the RAKED TREES and SUPER BRACE.

I rode my Trike a lot with neither, and would never be without them now. I have experimented with the SUPER BRACE extensively since purchasing it also, and have come to consider it as needed as my reverse button. The RAKE KIT was what sold me totally on "Motorcycles-No-Longer-Needed".....all of a sudden my Trike could do tight twisties competently...something totally out of it's capacity before. I could "putt" through tight twisties without it, but not just ride through effortlessly while workin' the controls by reflex, instead of constant thinking ahead on absolute correct road placement while entering and exiting corners.

Well, anyway, I'm now a Full Blown Triker for Life, and super glad to be a Member of TRIKE TALK and TRIKE OWNERS INTERNATIONAL...Lookin' forward to Trikin' with as many of You as possible in 2011.....See Ya', skuuter...:wtg:
