Ever since I started riding some 50 years ago, I have always had trouble staying seated for very long. I suffer, as many men do, from "totallackofbuttpadding". Even on my TriGlide with its cushy seat and a sheepskin on top of it will have me squirming in 30 miles.

I bought a cheap gel pad for an office chair on Amazon and it arrived today. I trimmed it to fit my seating area and put it between the seat and the sheepskin....AAAAHHHHHH relief....went out for a hundred miles accross the desert and through the pines and was just starting to get squirmy at the 95 mile mark.

It does sit me up about an inch, and due to the honeycomb construction, I feel like I am moving around on the seat, but got used to both of those things in 15 minutes.

All in all $15 and 15 minutes well spent.

YMMV

This sounds like the same cushion my wife bought. She loves it and, the next time I ride solo, I'm going to try it myself.

I went to Walmart and purchased a seat cushion and have used that for the past few years, I now can ride hours longer without the “spinster “ muscles screaming in pain …. Ronnie

I fixed the butt pain problem with a Beaded seat . in summer I use just the Beaded seat, and in cooler weather I add a Sheepskin on top of the beads. Yes the beads are hard , but keeping the air flow helps cool the boys and the cheeks too.
