Saddle bag conversion 2018*

I have seen it done with many GL1500 and older GL1800 saddlebags. I'm willing to bet it could be done with the 18+ as well. Usually the way it's been done is by reusing the rear subframe removed during conversion. The saddlebags and rear fender get reattached to that removed subframe and then a vinyl cover gets made to cover the top. You then have to weld on a hitch (I think that's the right term) to the front of it so it will go in a receiver. I know on the CSC trikes though, they use flat bar with ball in it. It would have to be a little different setup in that case.

I saw the process on the older bags. Newer bags would need to be turned to manual locking system and a shaped box of some sort to make connection in the middle. which would sit atop the hitch mount. I can’t seem to find a fabricator willing to take on the project in a timely manner. best estimate was 2yrs out.

anybody familiar with the wiring of the tail and back up lights on the saddlebags. trying to figure out the connection to the plug end of a escapade trailer pig tail to the saddle bags so I can attach it to the ball mount and just plug into the supplied CSC end?
