Not to be critical of your statement BB, but having been a Roadsmith dealer for several years now and knowing how this company handles their business, I will 100% guarantee you that Roadsmith hasn't lost this shipment. It sounds like this is the first they have heard about this and if there was any delay in it arriving at the destination, the selling dealer should have contacted them immediately. Within minutes Roadsmith would contact their shipper and know exactly where the shipment was unless the truck driver wigged out and disappeared...possible but not likely.

In my experience they have excellent quality control, but nothing man made comes out perfect every time. I know its aggravating, but I'm sure they will take care of your gas tank issue. Truthfully, I've had almost zero issues with Roadsmith QC and have seen them cover items that were far, FAR out of warranty (I might get spanked for telling that).

Good point, and attempting not to be critical, just saying how it is. My last sentence, I give them credit, doing the best they can. After this is all done, I'm sure I'll be a more happy camper. I might even get a RoadGlide Trike loaner to cruise around Daytona for the day, we'll see.

I know you weren't BB...anyone would be frustrated when their new toy isn't doing exactly what its supposed to do. That cuts into our play time and that ain't cool!

I was just saying that I know these guys pretty well...have dealt with them for several years and know them personally, not just business. They are serious about doing the right thing and take a lot of pride in their product, that's why they're thriving after 40 years in business. Kirk Rush had posted a response to my call before I could hang up the phone, fix a glass of tea and get back to my computer. They are on it!

Good response, Zook. Hope we meet on the road someday

I'm sure we'll meet before long. I'm in your neck of the woods fairly often. We were in Daytona last week for Bike Week 2013 and hung out with all our sponsors. Here's a picture of Marge with Doug and Kirk at Roadsmith's Beach Street Store.

If you ordered the kit a month ago thats one thing. If it shipped a month ago and has gotten lost, thats entirely another. Its pretty normal to take at least a month to have your kit produced by any of the top factories, especially this time of year. Are you sure it has shipped? Was it shipping straight to you or to a dealer then to you? Give Heidi a call at Roadsmith at (800) 331-0705 and she can tell you were your kit is. If there is a problem you need further help with, ask for one of the owners Doug Lindholm or Jim McGurran or dealer services manager Kirk Rush. The whole Roadsmith crew are great folks to deal with and support their customers 100%. I just spent a lot of time with these guys at Daytona and they are good people.

What he said! The Roadsmith folks are GREAT to work with.

I bought my kit last April.

Shipped via Old Dominion.

Tracking was very easy to follow.

Check with Roadsmith.

If they are who you dealt with they WILL have a handle on this.

Good news!:wave4: The Honda dealer called me Saturday afternoon and said that they had recieved the Trike kit and would have my Goldwing done as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone for there positive thoughts and wilingness to help. It's nice to know that I have such good friends. They did not tell me any details about the search or why it took so long to get, but the important thing is that they have it and I should have my new first trike in about a week. i'll post some pictueres when I get.:Trike1:

I would certainly be curious. Seems RS would share that information as a matter of friendly business. As you mention, they have it, and you will get your RS trike. Tuesay, if it's not freezing Florida weather, I'll head down to the Daytona Trike Shop for my aux fuel tank replacement, then I'll be good to go.

I'm having to o an aux fuel tank replacement on mine. Tell me what is up with yours? I'm doing mine myself because there are no dealers nearby. I'm thinking about contacting The Trike Shop and asking to be a dealer.

On the aux tank where the fuel brass connector feeds the main tank, a slow drip leak developed. Apparently this brass connector is not a screw/thread type connector and cannot be tightened. The connector is apparently attached with some type of epoxy and the leak developed at that point. Whoever the outsource contractor is, was the 'at fault' supplier. Not sure how they test these tanks, but however it is, mine got through the test. I'm totally aware that nothing made by man is perfect, so The Trike Shop Daytona is making it right by tearing it all down and installing a new aux tank. Don't know who is picking up the tab for all that, maybe corporate is absorbing, or the tank supplier is doing a reimbursement. Not mine to question how or why, just get r done and ride on.

Wish you well if you decide to work with Road Smith, I do think they make a fine trike and time will tell.
