Ride on and off centre stand 1800 goldwing

Has any one tried to convert their own centre stand to a ride on ride off one?

I am an engineer( with welding experience) so undertaking that job seems to be quite simple.

What I would appreciate is, if anyone, who has one on their bike, could let me have the correct length of the legs..

If I do make this alteration I will post the job done on the forum, with video if possible.

I believe you need to remove 1-5/8" from the legs. I seem to remember this being a thread on the GL1800 forum some time ago. Don't forget one of the bolts is right-hand thread and one is left-hand thread,...
