This past weekend, we had several thousand sport bikes invade the greater St. Louis area.

These riders rode irresponsible through our town causing wrecks, getting into fights & destroying property.

We were told they were from the Texas, Illinois & Ohio area & apparently they can't get away with riding down the road doing stunts in their towns, so they come here. This is now an annual event as it's our 3rd. year to host.

The grounds below & around the Arch were recently renovaded & a wedding party was there taking pictures & they ran them off while destroying the turf. The St. Louis police said they issued 60 tickets.

I hope they go elsewhere next year.

As a Native born TEXAN! I hope they throw the bums in jail and levy extra heavy fines. Texas PD will NOT put up with endangering others on or off the road. Many riders do help police these types of riders. :gah:

Even during ROT the police do a great job keeping the situation under control. This even draws a mixed group of riders...but the sport bike/stunt bike crowd, well they are a different breed of people

Need to have a mass gathering at the next town meeting to boycott

Galveston TX had some of the same problems with the LONE STAR Rally. If my memory is ok, I think the first rally’s total was over Two hundred thousand bikes of all kinds. The locals fought hard to ban it. Today it is one of the largest rallies in the country. Well run and controlled, this years in set for November 1[SUP]st[/SUP] – 4[SUP]th[/SUP].

See everyone there! :D

The Arch is a federal monument, I'm sure they are on cameras and their deeds probably constitute a felony on federal property. Hope they are hunted down and stay in a federal prison to grow up.
