yes my trike has a reverse light courtesy of our ADR compliance that says any vehicle that can be driven backwards must have a reversing light. to be honest i thought it was a bit over the top, but it could come in handy when trying to manoeuvre in dark unfamiliar places..
i am yet to try it and see if it works.

I guess I've never really thought about it. I know that all cars and trucks (here in the U.S.) do have factory built in reverse (back-up) lights on them and are designed to come on automatically when the vehicle is put into reverse. But for the most part the reverse lights on the vehicles I've owned don't put out much light. They are about the same brightness as a tail light bulb. The just have a clear or white lens. I just thought the reverse lights were a requirement but if they are apparently it doesn't apply to trikes.
But I do see where a reverse light would be nice in certain situations.

I thought about putting reverse lights on my T/G, That would let other drivers know that i'm ''backing out'' of a parking space, And not just setting there playing with myself..

I've never thought about it but it makes sense. Even on my pickup truck I have flashing white lights for backup lights, so using extra lights on the back of my trike isn't a far stretch.

I use my trike as a commuter vehicle as well as weekend pleasure riding, and when backing out of my garage of a morning on a work day, my CSC equipped back-up lights light up the drive-way and I can see clearly for at least 50 feet or more to the rear. Each rear light has a H3 bulb, and I find this very beneficial for meThumbUp.

If one does little or no night time driving, you would probably never miss back-up lights.
