I would like to replace my stock windshield with something taller. My OEM is too short by about 2" for me. I get a lot of wind noise and buffeting from the top of my helmet. The F4 gets good reviews, but too pricey for me. The Tall Tulsa gets good reviews, but one mentioned that there is too much flex at highway speed or gusty winds. Can someone comment on the quality of the Tulsa please?

Had a tall Tulsa on the '95 GL1500. It leaned back a bit more than the stock shield, and was about 3" taller. Once set for height, it stayed there, as it is a lot thicker than the stock unit so the front cowl had to be pulled to adjust it. Never noticed any movement on the top of the windshield. Checking out the website for Tulsa, they have the original shield, and a newer one that is adjustable.

I have a Tulsa collecting dust in my garage, took it off my '02 GL1800. it was on the bike when I bought the bike. The stock shield came with the bike, after 2 years riding with the Tulsa I took it off and put the stock shield on. I got tried of hitting my head on the top of the Tulsa, I even cut about 5'' off of it and still hit my head on it when leaning forward for the passenger to get on. I had a friend that had on his '91 GL1500 he didn't like his either for the same reason. They tilt back to far. There's got to be something bette out there.

Big bike Parts has a windshield that is taller than the stock, and also thicker.
It only costs $200.00. I have had one on my Gl1800 for almost 2 years and rode from coast to coast with it with no problems at all. it is also wider than stock. You can see pictures of it in my photo gallery(the pictures of my California trip).:10:
