Ok thought i would share and see if these heat numbers sound reasonable. Last week riding in 85 degree weather. I checked my rear head temp and it was 361 degrees. Yep i was riding in stop and go traffic and a bit of hwy running at 75 MPH. My CSC trike conversions has most of the motor covered and not a lot of air to the motor.
Ok gotta cure this problem so ordered the Ultracool oil cooler and the Love jugs mighty mights. Got them installed fri.. and the weather and temps were 88 degrees sat. A few more degrees warmer and about same humidity. than my last ride.. Took a ride on the same route and with a bit more traffic stopping. Stopped at same place to check head temps again and the rear head was showing 231 degrees.
WOW is this really so. I do have a very expensive heat Gun and no that it is correct. From all my research i was told that this combination would lower these heat numbers like what i have now. Ok guess i am ranting how good these combinations do and do these numbers now sound true to all you that have opinions. Thanks for any thoughts in advance. Booggerbe (Ron)
Ooo and anyone no of a head temp gauge that is good to use. Was looking at the marlins head/oil temp gauge but can't figure out how to use the head temp sensor because i have the reccesed head bolts. Ok forum again thanks for looking.
