Rear wheel base measurments.

Hi all, I've been making a frame for adding outrigger wheels to my Valkyrie (a very slow drawn out project) and am now at the stage where I need to decide on the width between the rear wheels. I reckon about 55 inches, outside to outside. I'm using 15 inch rims, 8 inch tires.

What seems to be about the average width on normal and outrigger trikes....my concern is the stability, I rather would go a little wider, if need be.

If I remember correctly, my Tow Pac Instatrike with 12" wheels is 60" - outside of tire to outside of tire... A little wider fender to fender outside measurement...
