Rear tires on RoadSmith

The rear tires on my RoadSmith ware even on both tires except about one inch on the inside of both, down to thread at 32K.

Running 22 PSI in both. What if anything am I doing wrong? The kit is 2016, so this is the first time replacing tires. Is this normal wear for independent rear end?

I have a '13 Roadsmith HT1800 on an '06 Goldwing. I run 25 psi in the rear tires and at 26K miles they look like brand new. I was actually thinking of changing them just because they're 6 yrs old.

I changed mine at 6 years with 30K on them. There were some that thought I was foolish. However, for me, peace of mind out weighs the cost! :)

It isn't normal for a properly aligned IRS, but if the rear tires are cambered in (negative measure) at tops excessively or toed out much (like they are trying to go away from each other), that's what you get. Could be a combination, could be settings or worn components. I have seen it wear pretty fast on other IRS trikes.

Not mine (mine is a SA), but here's a good example. In short time, these tires wore out on inside too … but outside looked great. You might notice the clean, unused portion of tread.

In correct toe is the biggest tire wearing angle, Camber directly affects toe readings and settings

That said if camber is not adjustable get the toe set soon

Camber can be affected by worn suspension parts, weak springs, not working correctly air suspension etc

tire wear

My has the same type wear. I was told by MotorTrike that it is because I am running to little pressure in the air bags on rear suspension.
