A diamond or round mount can be attached just about anywhere, and you can use the cupholder of your choice, just put a RAM ball on it. RAM mount website: http://www.rammount.com/

I had a butler cup and holder on my old Goldwing. I mounted the cup holder on the right side just above the speaker area and where the seat coushion meets. The butler cup holder I used I just drilled two holes in the bracket and then drilled holes in the seat pannel which works great or at least the wife thinks so.
