Does anyone recognize this brake caliper? It is on my 2007 Motor Trike conversion. I looked thru several hundred calipers on Google images and did not see it. I would like to replace the pads. I read on the forum it was a Ford rear end but have not been able to positively identify it. Thank You, Mickcaliper.jpg

mick i would bet they are custom built for motortrike. they look similar to the caliper that they had custom made for their stallion. the pads that fit the stallion custom caliper were from a toyote land cruiser. im sure they used a already made application. pull out the pads and go to a napa auto and see if they can id them

also look and see if a ford 500 might be the same pad they were on the rear of the stallion.

Looks like 2006 and newer MT rear disc.

Their service manual gives # MKD545 for pads, an alternate # is given as D347

The Disc are MT specific.

Book says remove calipers by two 3/4" bolts on rear side of caliper bracket.

When reinstalling, book says those 3/4" bolts are torqued "55-65 Ft lbs".

Cautions several places to not twist the brake hose.

Maybe the numbers will help?

Brake pads

Thank You for the part numbers. That's a huge help. I got my model numbers mixed up, The GL1800 is an 07. The MT conversion is a 2013.

Here is a partial list of what these brake pads fit

The new pads have a Bendix part number of D347. This pad is used on FORD: 1993 Mustang, 1989-1992 Taurus, 1987-1992 Thunderbird; LINCOLN: 1988-1992 Continental, 1996 Continental, 1991-1992 Mark VII; MERCURY: 1987-1992 Cougar, 1990-1992 Sable.

If you do some cross referencing they cross to a Duralast MKD545 at Autozone. For NAPA they are AE7239A (Top of the Line), SS7239A (Second grade), and TS7239A (Bottom of the line).
