On my 2016 Triglide, there is a rattle/scrapping noise coming from the rear brakes when I am coasting backwards down my driveway and apply the rear brakes. It has been this way for awhile, but I just never got around to investigating it. No problems otherwise with the brake system. Any pointers out there?

Original brakes & mileage ??

Shouldn't be worn out ,but I would take a look. If they are worn, you don't want to gouge the rotors. I changed mine out about that time to EBC pads. Were not worn out but I wanted EBC

Plenty of pad left when I pulled the wheels off for the winter cleaning. Thanks for the thought.

I typically push my TG out of the garage into the drive and make a 90 degree turn to point it toward the street. Doesn't take much effort and I tell myself I'm saving my reverse motor, lol.

Anyway I have noticed (almost since new) that sometimes the rear brakes make a bit of noise when pushing it backward. Not so much grinding but kind of moaning. No noise if I push it forward which I did just to check. Thought maybe the brakes were dragging but I've checked them a couple times and the rear wheels spin just fine and with the wheels off everything looks normal.

So I've just concluded that this is the way it is. I just turned 20k on the clock.
