Rear Brakes

Late last year I replaced the rear brakes on my 2013 Roadsmith trike, there was plenty of pad on my original pads but Roadsmith said they were the older style pads and the ones I bought were supposed to give better braking. I installed them and they do seem to do better but now I am starting to hear what sounds like the metal indicators that warn you that the brakes need replaced, it is not loud but enough that I can hear it. It does not do it all the time, seems more after everything gets hot but will come and go. The pads are still thick as I have put very few miles on them. I have done brakes for years and took these apart and cannot see any issues. Anyone else experience this?

I think they have little metal plates that go on the back side but I will give the permatex a shot. Will probably give Roadsmith a call as well.
