Ram Ball mounts.

I have several assorted Ram ball mounts laying around.

I would like to mount the GPS in a non moving location..(no handlebars)

Checking on different locations.0812191713-picsay.jpg0812191716-picsay.jpg

In that location I would think the mid day sun would make the GPS pretty hard to see:Shrug: YMMV

I don't have a 1800 to look or feel under there for obstructions, but I'd check to make sure before drilling. I mounted my bracket in near same place on my 1500, made a sun shield from old piec es of bed liner sides using band saw & heat. I like the position, just don't know what's under there on a 1800.

I can see from my eyes, all gauges. My camera was on my chest. Also, from higher vantage point, I don't see so much glare as I see in this picture. Not a Ram ball mount, but I did use a Ram mount to secure the Garmin in place (but used 1/8" aluminum to mount that).

here's a good location but you'll have to make the bracket. it's under the air deflector.

Sorry, the file was too big. I had to reduce it. Hope it's not too small.

no pics came through on my phone. Did others get photos? I’m very interested in what you’ve got.
