I just bought a rake kit (6 degree) from Bazooka and had it installed today. What a difference!!! Im serious when I say that I can't believe the difference. It's worth every penny!. I checked every place I had heard of and NO ONE beat Bazooka's price. I actually saved enough to have it installed free for the price most wanted just for the kit. I don't personally know Bazooka, but I can tell you he is a very honest man to deal with.I highly recommend him. Thanks Bazooka.<br />

P.S. This kit was installed on an 08 1800 goldwing.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Cool. I have had the pleasure of talking to him on the phone and he helped me.
When my trike goes into the shop in a couple of weeks I need to call him for a rake kit.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Dirtdobber, You won't be sorry. I've been told this for quite a while and finally rode one that had been raked. That was all it took.

You're absolutely right - we do know Zook and his family, and they are a genuinely delightful, honest, friendly bunch of folks to know, to do business with, and to be our treasured friends. You're in good hands with the Zook-man!

You would not have this forum if it were not for Zook. We owe him big time and need to support him and his business. So check with Bazooka if he can not help you he will connect you with someone who can.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Well I just got done talking to Zook and looks like I'll be doing the rake on mine soon. I don't like the way i have to steer it now and it's only been triked a few weeks. I hope it works as well as everyone says it does.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

I just installed his 6 deg kit on a Valkyrie homemade trike, I can't believe the difference night and day. :D

<table style="width:auto;]<tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right]From Valkyrie</td></tr></tbody></table>

In this day and age I really appreciate being able to speak to a human and someone who actually calls back when they say they will and or returns emails promptly. All of which Randy does. I plan at least 1 more trike and I know who I will call.

Thanks Again Randy ThumbUp

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

This is my first post since joining about a month ago.
I've been riding since 1957 always on two wheels. I'm 68 now and the 03 HD Ultra is a little too much for me. I am going to a trike and think I've found one here in Utah. My questions are for anyone that wants to jump in.

The trike is a 2006 Goldwing with Motor Trike kit. It has 24,900 miles and the kit was installed in 2008 when the ride had 7Kmi. on it. The bike is at a Honda dealership on consignment and the asking price is $22,500.

I will be calling the owner in a couple days and would appreciate your input on what I should be concerned about? I do know it does not have a 'rake kit' on the fork. I do know it has been serviced by a Honda dealer throughout it's life since this owner bought it. I read the comments about the Bozooka kit and was wondering the cost and if I might be able to install it myself? I'm a fair wrench but never do anything major like breaking into engines etc. The ride is 80 miles from my home and I hope to go see it next week.

Great form and looking forward to future exchanges.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Welcome, Craig! You will definitely want a rake kit, and Bazooka is definitely the man you need to talk to about which one to get and how to install it. Best of luck in your new adventure! :)

Retail is $995 but I sell them to members for $695 including the fork tube extensions and free shipping. Its not difficult to install, a service manual is a big help and a call to me if you have any questions.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

The rake kit arrived at my sons home while is was on vacation in Fl. The parts look great!! The trike is going in the shop Saturday. I'll be back in Michigan before it's done so he gets to ride it before I do, dang!!!! Oh well, I'll be back in SC next month and ride it back to Michigan.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Hey Craig I am just over the mountain from you in Spring City.I have been riding for since 1964 am 65. Two crashes in 2011 told me maybe it was time to go to a trike.1990 Goldwing SE with a TriKing conversion. Come on over and see me sometime.White house across from white church ya can't miss it.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Hi, I'm over the pond in UK and have recently had my VTX1800C triked, as due to my disabilities, I could no longer hold the bike up safely and starting and stopping became very hard for me.

Anyway, my trike has a low speed front end wobble, which disappears when I get going over 25 mph. Also I find the steering very stiff and find it quite difficult to steer round traffic junctions and traffic roundabouts ( I know you don't have roundabouts in US ).

Do people think that these issues would be cured or greatly approved if I fitted a EZ-STEER, if so what rake angle would be the best one to fit. my trike weighs 520kg, as I had a n additional fuel tank made in the trike fabrication to give me a 250 mile range.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If someone can tell me how to, I'll gladly post some pictures up on here.

Many thanks, Honkytonk

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

Well, try again. hey Zook, do you have a rake kit for a 1986 Honda GL1200 Aspencade. I don't think it needs to 6 degrees, but anything would be betteer than this stock one. Steers like a tank around corners above 45 mph. Thaks for any info you might have about my bike/trike.

Re: rake kit from Bazooka

I bought 6% kit for my Valkyrie from Bazooka and had it installed near my sons home in SC. I had to return to Michigan while it was still in the shop and my son picked it up when it was done. He told me that it definately made a world of difference in handling but I had to see for myself. I flew down to SC last Sunday to pick it up and ride it back to Michigan. All I can say is "WOW!!". I love it - it is like having power steering and on the trip back through the mountains it handled like a dream.

Thanks, Bazooka for offering such a great product. As Thanks to Harleyville Custom Cycles in Harleyville, SC for a job well done.

Maestro - I have also been looking for GL1200 raked trees. 4 1/2 or 5 degrees seems to be the way to go. Refer to my other post on this subject for additional info. HERE
