Today my better half asked me to run to Georgia to get her some smokes( $30.00 cheaper in Georgia)

On the way home I ran into a down pour of rain for about 10 miles

It never fails, I leave home for a 100 mile ride and sure Enuff it rains

But it is all about the ride for me, back home now and granddaughter is gonna read me a story

Hope it's a good story Jack. I don't mind riding in the rain but I won't start out if it's raining. Getting caught in the rain is part of the game.

Yeah, I don't like the rain but it is a small price to pay for living here in Florida ;)
I hear ya Jack. I won't leave the house if it is raining. This time of year if I take off on the bike anytime after 2pm I just expect at some point I'm going to get a little wet. That is just how Florida summer weather is, one minute you are riding in a downpour then 5 minutes later the sun it out. Keep riding for another 10 minutes and your clothes are dry again.....then repeat....

But I certainly wouldn't change anything about it. Too many years living up north where the bikes sit in the garage from November to April.

Amen to that Joe, the winter lay ups really got me singing the blues also

We went all the way to Asheville, rode every day, then almost all the way back and never needed the rain gear. We were about 15 miles from our home exit on I-75 and typical Florida.....you could see it about a mile in front of us.....just a dark mist. I pulled over on the exit and just as we were zipping up the jackets it hit hard. We rode the last 15 miles in heavy rain at 55 mph. As soon as we got to our exit it stopped and the sun was out.
