Had the trike serviced yesterday at local HD dealership and they washed it for me. After the wash, the radio and gages wouldn’t work so they had to pull it back in to check it out.

I put a Sony XAV-AX7000 head unit in it since the 2018 HD unit wouldn’t do Apple CarPlay. This was several years ago.

I guess one thing of the electrical plugs got turned vertically which allowed it to catch water and short. They fixed it and didn’t charge me for it.

Ride home went well without a hitch. We shall see how it goes on further rides.

Luck'eee you, I love, to read about good tech's

Might be a coincidence but I rode the trike to my dentist today and the parking brake is locked up. I wonder if the dealer did something since this is the first time I used it since the service. Now I got to crawl around and investigate

There is a ratchet lever that engages when you press the parking brake pedal. It has a spring that retracts it when you press down and let the pedal go - well it does unless the spring gets dislodged. Happened to me a few months ago on a days long ride through northwestern Arkansas. You can manually pull the lever back to release the brake until you can get the spring back in place. As I recall I had to borrow some needle nose pliers to accomplish that. Good luck getting it sorted.

You are correct. It is the pawl spring. I tried to get it back to in place but it keeps jumping out. I think the spring has lost its mojo. Now I need to find a part number and get a new one.

turns out spring is not the problem. The pawl was in wrong orientation. Fixed that and got spring in place. Took 3 tries but got it. Now need to adjust the brake since it ratchets more than 3 clicks.
