I'm going to swap out the OEM radio head for an Aquatic AV, after Christmas. The question is removing the the OEM also eliminates the CB thank goodness. Now I have an extra Antenna on the tour pack, years ago there were a lot of people using twin antennas. The real concern is would both connected make for a better signal I have ZERO knowledge of these sorts of things Help. Radio reception in the communist run state of Pennsylvania is not the best anyway. Fred

Fred the CB antenna is tuned to a whole different band width than the AM/FM radio antenna is. I've never tried splicing the cables together. Being you will be receiving only you will not hurt anything by putting them together. If it doesn't work then just put it back to what you started out with.

An antenna is not an antenna. They are tuned (wave length) for a specific application. Your CB antenna will do nothing but make your AM/FM reception worse if spliced into the radio antenna. Best to keep it disconnected. I would just keep it mounted as a dummy antenna to make things look "balanced"..... Jim
