Pulled the trigger this morning.

Traded my dead Can-Am Spyder on a new 2013 Goldwing, Lehman Monarch II trike this morning. Same dealer where I bought the Spyder so he took pretty good care of me.

I LOVE THIS BIKE!

Nice looking Wing, your passenger will love the ride. So is it a straight axle or the New Independent axle? Also, I never rode a Spider but you obviously didnt like it. What are the pro's and con's between the Spider and the wing?

I believe you made a very wise decision on the GL1800. I do not want to bash Can Am, I am sure there are many happy Spyder owners. I purchased a new 2012 RT Limited and it had electrical issues left me stranded 2 times in 200 miles. The dealer had no idea. They offered money back or another 2012 Limited that was arriving the next day. I took the new Limited, went into limp mode in the first 200 miles and I will just stop there, guess I was just not meant to own a Spyder. I now have a 2012 GL1800 with a loaded CSC kit and the wife and I are very pleased, hope you many miles of smiles on your new ride.

I've owned my 1997 wing for 3 years and am in the process of having it triked with a Roadsmith. I road a CanAm and found I'm spoiled by the quiet ride and power of the goldwing. I felt like I was driving a go-cart on the CanAm.

The go-cart is a great analogy! High rev'ing engines are fun for a short ride, but we love the Wing, especially for the long haul.

Floor boards will finish off the bottom of the trike,
You're right about the CanAm being under powered.
Friend of mine bought one and put on 100 miles.
Went back to the dealer and trade for new GW Trike.

Still waiting for my Roadsmith kit to come in for my first trike on my 97 wing. Good luck on your new ride. Can't wait for mine!
