I'm about to pull the trigger on converting my X

Hi everyone, I posted this on the General Message board but this is probably where it belongs.... I was talking about converting my VTX 1800 to a trike and Smoken'JOE sent me here for ideas on how to do it myself and to look at what others are riding. But my wife and I have decided to change the color, install easy ride, fairing and front wheel so I have decided to bring it to a shop that can do all of that. I really like what I hear about Roadsmith so that is on the top of the list, and I like the looks of the Hoppes fairing, but I think I should look around first.
This looks like a great site and I know I'm gonna love the pics.

Know some people who have roadsmith gold wing trikes they all seem to be well satisfied.
Did I understand you right, that you were going to do the converson yourself.
If so you need to check with who ever you are going to have insure it,because some insurance companys will no longer insure a trike unless a factory certified installer does it.
Good luck.

Welcome.... there are too few VTX Trikes on this forum, so I'm glad to see another. Kit choice is a personal thing I guess....I hear good things about Roadsmith, and there are a few other kits available to you. Have fun with the process and the eventual ride.

I have a Valkyrie Interstate with the new Roadsmith kit on it. Have had it about 6 weeks and still can get the smile off my face. Only problem I have had is keeping her under 70 mph.:pepper:
