Prayers For My Better Half

My wife is in surgery having her left hip "patched up". Due to bad genetics, she had to have the right hip replaced 3 years ago, and recently the left hip has been giving her issues. Her doctor thinks that by going in today and cleaning things up, she can get another 3 to 5 years before needing a full replacement on this side. Sounds like it will be about a 3 hour procedure today, then on crutches for at least 4 weeks and some PT to top it off.

Thanks!

A full recovery is wished for from NH. Please tell her to follow her PT to the letter, as it may hurt, but the end is very rewarding.
I know, I coached and told my athletes to follow up their PTs to the letter. Some say they cried because it hurt, but it was rewarding when they could play again to their full capacity!
Good luck, and a speedy recovery!

Lifted one up for Mrs. Darth. And best wishes for that darned rehab. So frustrating, but so rewarding in the long run.

Good wishes coming your way, the rehab is totally worth all the frustration.

Prayers sent for her and you. Hope everything turns out good for the wife. My daughter is a Physical Thearpist and she just loves working on me. Sometimes I think the more it /she hurts me the bigger the grin she has on her face. (just kidding)

1/26/2016 Update

First of all, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, she is not out of the woods yet. The surgery on Friday went well, she was able to come home on Saturday, and things were going well. This morning she woke up with some pain in her calf muscle on the leg they performed surgery on. We called the doctor and they had her come directly to the ER, and after several tests and ultrasounds, she has developed a blood clot in the calf. She will now be on blood thinners for at least 3 months and possibly up to 9 months.

The next few days will be critical in getting the blood thinners adjusted, and then waiting, hoping, and praying for a positive outcome to this whole situation.

Thanks for thinking of her!
