Our 5th Goldwing

Being 70 years old my wife and I decided our 5th Goldwing should be a trike. I can still easily ride a two wheeler alone, but with a 150 lb woman on the back it's a different story. I only dropped her once about 25 years ago but she was getting nervous when we would ride on two wheels. Women must see things we men don't see, anyway her confidence is back and she can enjoy the ride. It is a 2006 GL-1800 and a 2006 Motor Trike conversion kit. We have been to a little over half the states and a small part of Canada. I plan to ride as long as I am still breathing.

Is anyone here a Motor Trike owner as in single axel trike kits that have been around for eons. I have the kit on my 2002 GL1800a that was put on in 2010. I bought the bike in May of this year (2020) and really would love to have someone to talk with about the kit accessories, etc. and the repair experiences. Thanks (see my attached pic) Thanks:victory:

I have had my 2006 GL 1800 Champion conversion now for a couple of weeks. I have put 500 local miles on it. My wife has ridden with me on this trike more than she rode on all of my 3 bikes and 10 years combined.

We rode this morning to starbucks, then rode to downtown Rockwall and stopped at a pastry place. It was her first ride on the highway, and we rode over the lake. Even with the strong winds, she actually loved the ride and wants to start riding to breakfast every Sunday morning.

Seems we are off to a good start in our triking future.

Thanks for the kindness.

I found this thing sitting in a barn for 6 years, absolutely filthy.

I haven't rode in 20 years but I got the itch back when my bro-in-law bought one a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to find this for a great price last week. It's in the shop now getting new rubber and a go-over, I'm chomping at the bit to get it back :)
