Pleasant dealer experience

I left my TG at Cox HD in Rock Hill SC on Friday for the 10k service. I made a list of things I wanted checked and the fluids I wanted installed during the service. I got a call early on Monday morning telling me that the rear brake rotors were worn unevenly and that they had ordered rotors and pads. They checked the front ones and they were wearing fine. They did the radio upgrade as well. He also asked If I had noticed a compensator noise and said the tech wanted to ask several questions. He put the tech on the phone and the tech asked about noises I heard during load, off load, at idle and several other situations. He said, I really don't like the noise it's making so I am going to pull it and have a look. All under warranty.

The service advisor got back on the phone and said he was sorry but there would be a couple of day delay while the rotors they ordered came in. Hey no problem.. I wasn't going to pick it up until this coming Saturday anyway.

Thanks to Cox for keeping in touch and for taking care of my trike

When I get dealer service like that, I usually bring in a box of chocolate for them and leave it in the break room ... after my drive belt replacement, I bought 5 pizza's ... the motor clothes girl made an announcement about them ... it was lunch so they all got some.

I know I should "expect" good service, but I've had bad and appreciate the good. Besides, I think I get treated pretty good as a rule and enjoy treating them the same.

If I wrote that kind of good review about my local dealer.....it would be filed in the fiction section.

Hasn't always been this way with them. They have learned that I will spend my $ with them if I get good service, if not, I will go elsewhere. I had to show them a couple of times but they caught on .

Ride safe
