Oil Changes on Road

I would buy a cheap pan and do the oil change at either a Wal-Mart or a oil change station. That way they can dispose of the used oil properly. I'd take oil & filter with me if I had room for them otherwise buy them locally.

Oh okay... If I find a Wal-Mart with an auto department, then they can dispose of my oil. Sounds good! Thanks!

Stopped once at HD dealer in MO. Purchased filter and oil. Borrowed pan and wrench from their Service dept. no problem. At the time, I was doing extra oil changes between services.

Use Amzoil an don't worry about your oil change...........can go 20,000 miles if u need to...................Hisst

Change you oil before your trip. Then you are good to go for another 8,000 miles! No need to worry. Or carry a filter and stop at any dealer you want. Even a Harley dealer can change the oil. If he wants to. Tom :Trike1:

that's what i did this past summer. changed before we left (7500) did not worry. I run synthetics.

Also run synthetic and will most likely forget about changing oil until we get home. Will watch the odometer... Thanks!
