Doc Harley Video on Harley Oil Transfer

With my 17 Tri........Harley in writing said every 1 thousand miles bring it in:Shrug:....

And after they put the slinger in the trans would be dry every 8 hundred miles...

And as of last year my dealer had at least 6 Tri's transferring ....And 2 other dealers that would admit to the problem breaking Harleys vow of silence had some also....

So if you ride only a few thousand miles a year and changed your oil once a season you never knew you had the transfer.......So just a few are transferring is a understatement..

Yeah, and what I find unacceptable is HD engineers will not admit this transfer problem did NOT appear until the hydraulic clutch bikes and trikes, IMO all they need to do is reevaluate the changes made and find a TRUE manufacturing cure. I also believe this problem is bigger than being reported. Bob you are onto something with your statement here;)

Interesting Vid Jack.

Thanks for posting it.

Low Country HD was an excellent dealership back in the early 80's when I was stationed in Chasn. SC.

The owners, (Phil & Emily), at the time, were super folks to any military customers. I remember on several occasions when a costly repair was needed on my bike, they'd let me take it on credit after the work was done and simply stop by on the next pay cycle to square up if I didn't have the $$ to cover the work at the time it was done.

All of the folks at that shop were great to us Sailors, and probably the Air Force too, as Chasn. sports a big Air Force base. The Navy base is unfortunately closed down now. Don't know about the air base?

In closing, not many dealers would likely do what they did for the military back then, today, I'm betting!
