His attorneys did a news conference, it is the punitive damage amount that was 240 million. I truly believe they know that the amount will be reduced but it was more of sending a signal to large corporations that they need to make sure that there products are safe. With that said, nothing mechanical is 100 percent fool proof, but in the last several years HD has been putting new systems on the bikes that are sometimes problematic at best. HD has been using the consumer as their test riders for years, knowing that the average person won't consult an attorney if problems will arise.I think that amount is very excessive. I think they could get an amount but I don’t know where in the hell they get these numbers from.
