So, got all the wiring done for new alternator conversion, fires up and can see charging happening on volt meter. Time to head out directly to gas station 2 miles away.
Ran out of gas within site of station. Walked along side rolling it. Another biker stopped to help. Turns out it was a neighbor from 3/4 mile away from me. Didn't know he rode. I thought bike was his sons. Always wave when i pass him working in yard. He helped push into gas station. Now I know tank holds 4 gallons.long uphill gas line completely empty. Only had a crank or two in battery. Not enough. You don't want to know how I pressurized gas tank to force gas through line.
We tried push starting it. Didn't work. Finally gave up. I told him I would walk home to get my truck to tow it. He offered to give me a lift. That's right, I rode bitch. Better than walking like a man. I weigh almost twice this poor guy but he did a good job holding his bike up.
As soon as I gave it a short charge, it started right up. On charger now for longer. :ImWith::qpnmt:
