Hello all. Just bought a 2002 Goldwing 1800 with a Lehman Monarch solid axle rear. I have some information but would like to find out if it is a Lehman Monarch I or II model. Is there a way I can find out. Searching on the internet I cannot find much about Monarch I model. Also looking for a service provider that will work on the trike. The local Honda dealer will only service the bike side of the trike. I live in central/shore area of NJ. Welcome any and all information you can offer. Thank you.

Jose welcome aboard. our resident lehman expert hopefully will read this and might be able to help

I looked for info on Monarch I vs Monarch II in my stuff, I have info on M-II, but no mention of M-I in my stuff. I recall friends who had Monarch II trikes, they were solid axle 1800s with the trunklid that went up as I recall. Like 2001s <-->2010s? I think the Monarch II name was also applied to the IRS 1800s but not sure of years, maybe with an added notation?

Wish I could help more.

Howdy Jose!

Jose, Welcome to Trike Talk from West Virginia.:wave4::wave4:

The Monarch I has a lower trunk door that opens down, the Monarch II lower trunk door opens upward.

The Monarch II has rear disc brakes although I have found some Monarch I's that also have disc brakes but typically the Monarch I has drum brakes.
