New Guy from NW Ohio

Your TriGlide should have come with a new Harley headset - have you installed that in your helmet?

If so, he is what I want you to do. Go out to your bike, turn to ACC and let it get set up. Make sure the NAV is up.

Next, go to the settings, go down until you see Projections - make sure that is on.

OK, go to your phone and load a map just like you would if you were in your car. You can do google maps - just have the directions loaded.

Now, plug your helmet into the headset port. Once that is done, plug your phone into the USB cable in the cubby.

Your bike should find apple carplay and ask you to open your phone to load. Once you do that, your maps will appear on your screen.

Once this is installed, it will load automatically the next time.

The one problem with the cubby is it does not hold most phones. So, once you get connected, let's talk and I can share how you can go wireless.

Good luck
Thank you I will hang on to this for future reference. I will receive my bike on the 23rd of this month and will follow your instructions when I get my hands on it. Many thanks

Welcome from SW Ohio, many HD trike owners have changed their bars to the Kromewerks 2plus2 wide sweepers, me included. They make a narrow sweeper, but after looking at the dimensions and the angle it would have my wrists, I decided on the wide sweepers. and I am 5" 9".
Thank you!

Welcome to trike Talk from Jax Fla
Thanks Jack, I’m impatiently waiting for delivery. Was told today 10-14 days. I’m already spending money on farkles and haven’t even received the bike yet. Talk about cart before the horse

Hey - just checking.

You get your bike yet. We are having some great riding weather.

Thank you sir, and your welcome is VERY timely. My delivery was put off by a week and as a result, I am typing this in my helmet, chaps and riding gloves waiting for my wife to pull in and give me a ride to the dealership for pick-up.
Great - a bunch of us here are on our way - we want to make sure all is OK.

Now, a few tips. It's not your bike - it's her's. This way she will get to tell you all the places you can go. Plus, she'll get to add all of the cool things she likes, and she can tell her friends she did all of this for you.

Here's the secret - you just let her do what she wants. Every now and then, she'll buy a shirt or jacket - tell her she can have whatever she wants.

If she asks your opinion, this is a trick. She has already picked out the one she wants. The one closest to you is the one she wants. So, all you have to say is - hey, that other one is really nice, but this one fits you perfectly and looks absolutely stunning on you.

If you get this down right -you can have some great rides.

You sir, have been a WEALTH of knowledge and incredibly helpful. If you can’t tell I’m jacked about getting this trike. I’ll try to leave you alone for a minute
Chuck, I finally took possession of the trike and we put close to 500 miles on it over the long weekend. Quirky, different, but we both really like it. As you know, the comfort level is a step down from the GL. I've ordered bars, lift kit, driver's seat back, tour pak seat relocator kit (wife is 6ft.) tour pak rack and I'm trying to figure out which windshield to go with because of my wife's height. Hoping to sneak a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway before year end. Will keep you posted. Thanks

Diehly,

Let me know how your trip goes. I put a rack on mine. The drilling marks are marked inside the tour pack lid.

One of the upgrades that you mentioned was LA Choppers toe shift extension. I have to tell on myself, I could not see the point. After just a few rides, I ordered one. Absolutely one of my favorite upgrades. Thanks, this is how this site works!! Also stumbled on a silly fix. The dealer told me to make sure that I was aggressive in how I shut the trunk door so that it would latch properly. Even doing so I found that it had fallen open on two occasions. A quick spritz with my favorite spray lube and it works like butter.

I'm glad the toe shift extension worked. I'll have to try some spray lube on the trunk. I've seen other posts stating there is only a plastic clip holding the trunk lock mechanism in place, and it is prone to breaking.
