Just found this site yesterday. Been hanging around the other trike site and it has given me loads of great information but never joined because I did not have an 1800. But I could not figure out where all the other trikes were hiding out, till now.
We just got into triking in Sept. 08. Lovin it! Had been off motorcycles for about 10 years and then last year got back on two wheels with a real sweet Honda ACE 750. Only problem was that my wife would not ride on it. That was fine because I really believe that little Shadow was only built for one.
I still wanted to take her along. Some suggested a trike. She agreed to give it a try. Well I started shopping and we found real clean 1994 Honda Apencade 1500 with 2006 Champion kit. Only 35,000 miles. Need I say more, the rest is history. We put about 2200 miles on it this fall before putting it in storage for the winter.
Getting ready for a trip to Edmonton, Alberta next summer. Just picked up a neat little trailer on EBay a couple of weeks ago.
The trike does not have E-Zee Steer. I am seriously considering putting it on before nest season. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello Glennrae! So glad you found us. Here is a secret... this is the best forum on the web! :D. Please jump in w/ any questions and ideas. We've all got lots to learn, and the best way is from each other BEFORE we make a mistake that could hurt us!
As for EZ Steer, I have it and wouldn't be without it. It makes such a difference for me. It appears to me that most people who have it feel that way, but there are several on the forum who don't have it and are still quite happy with what they've got. Look in the forum index for the thread on "steering, rake, and handling" for all the discussion on this topic to date. You can respond or ask questions on any post you read there, and it will then pop up to this front page for more discussion.

Beautiful trike! Another place you should post this is in the "GARAGE" (see link above). Once you open the garage, click on "manage my VBPicGallery and follow the steps. You can put in up to 6 pictures and you can edit, delete/add any time along the way. If you click on "gallery list search" to look through all the pictures that others have posted. Fun.

Glennrae, welcome to the board. I have a 2000 1500 and don't have the E-Z steer. But so far I am happy. I don't ride alot of curves so I guess that is why I am ok with not having it. I understand that it takes a little getting used too.
Great looking trike. Glad that U guys are enjoying it. Ride safe and enjoy.

Hi Glennrae and welcome to the "Nuthouse". We're all nuts over trikes here.Great lookin 1500 you've got there. Like Nana and Katfish said, you'll get any answer you want as far as EZ-Steer..I don't have it but I'm a pretty good size fellow. Good luck with it and again, glad to have you here...:)

Beautiful bike....love the color......
I agree with Nana, wouldn't be with out a raked tripe tree (EZ steer etc)
I ride in the mountains and it truly is like power steering.

beautiful trike...like you, we found a great clean 1994 1500 and love it. We've put 10,000 miles on it since May when we got it. I am the co-pilot and computer person and wouldn't ride the 2 wheels much either so I know how your wife feels. Now Steve can't crank it up without me grabbing my helmet to go! Ours has the motortrike conversion and is raked--Steve wouldn't be able to steer so easily without it--he has shoulders that bother him so this makes it better. Good luck with yours and hope ya'll enjoy it.

Hi GLENNRAE, Welcome a board. I have a 1997 1500 GL that I have redone for my daughter. It has EZ-Steer and I can tell you it is great. My daughter is 5 07 and maybe 115 dripping wet. Her only other motorcycle experience was a Suzi Burgman 650 with a Tor-Pak wheels added. She loved that and took to the Honda like a duck to water. I could not have been prouder when I'm riding my bike with her following and within 10 minutes she is like right there all the time. She only had 3 months on the burgman and nothing before that except 4 wheels. The EZ - Steer made a big difference because she had no trouble steering from the get go. Her's is White Pearl, but I love that Red one you got. A real BEAUTY. Be safe Ted

Welcome aboard, Glennrae, and may I say, what a gorgeous trike! You both look so happy! Love that red. Wishing you many happy miles.

My own trike is still a bike at this moment, but I hope I'll be posting my own trike pix before too long.:)
